With the rising cost of fuel, do you think it will get poor people with their old bangers off the road and hence improve the motoring experience for the rest of us?
I have had my Ford Escort from new 14 years ago and still looks like new and I have no intentions of changing it to keep up with the Johnses. The majority of accidents are caused by the new fast cars. It is the up and coming generation that need to learn the motoring experience so why should we that look after our cars have to keep up with new cars.
Now that they have got the extra bus lane on the M4 from Heathrow removed maybe the government can start on removing all the bus lanes into the capital that slows down the traffic causing polution and extra fuel consumption.
