For those too young to remember logs is short for logrithmetic tables which us old ones used when we were doing sums with our chalk and slates

Was hoping someone might have commented on your joke pillj as I don't get it and was wondering if anyone else did.

missprim - pie sounds like pi which is a number used in maths and equals 3.1415927 approximately.

@ miss prim value of pi (needed to calclate measurements in circle) is 22/7 or 3.145297) eg area of circle is pi times radius squared

Oh I didn't know that. We didn't do that when I was at school, in fact we didn't do much maths as our slates were very small :-)
