From now on I am abstaining from contributing any more jokes.
I have found of late certain people have spoilt the fun of others by making things awkward resulting in my jokes being pulled by the Ed.

Yes, as marval said I have also stopped posting jokes. It gets to a stage where you have to read every word before you decide whether to post them or not. Not good, when all you are doing is trying to amuse people.

Racist jokes will be removed by Ed and rightly so, but surely your more than a one style joke girl? Just use a bit of self censorship and keep going.

I've had a few threads removed because they upset some people. Never bothered me so don't understand the problem. You should only stop posting things if you consider them to be wrong..............

For goodness sake, this is a forum - predominantly adult. There is a joke section provided for just that. Yes, there will no doubt be a minority of users on AnswerBank who fall into the prudish, the political correct, the critical, the downright rude and the petty, just waiting to pounce. Such a sorry few; 'Leg Ends' in their own sad time - skulking in the corners of the site looking for an excuse to spoil someone's parade. They disclose their identity because they are dribbling with excitement to put another user down with the report button.
AnswerBank will survive; the Joke section will survive; and happily the humour, fun and entertainment will survive. Hopefully the ones who are anti-joke will become bored and leave.
Jemisa has given almost 2,000 posts and probably 80% of those have been jokes.
No doubt today's political police would have objected to one of Jem's early gems from more than two years ago: ''Why is Santa like a bear on Christmas Eve? Because he's Sooty!''
We want more Jem, lots more please. Let the joke be on the objectors.
