Not often I can say that about myself but........... went to pick up grandchildren from a Hallowe'en party. Asked if they had been "dookin' fur aiples" as we say in this neck of the woods. No said the guide leader, we're not allowed to do that for H & S reasons. There could be water borne germs getting passed around. Pass me the cotton wool!

Not a shock...when I quit as an AAC Scouts a number of years ago it was because the PC lefty hand wriingers were stopping us doing stuff that we'd been taught as kids, traditional scouting skills.... pretty pathetic really

Well, the family are having their own Hallowe'en party tomorrow night and there will be dookin' fur aiples, treacle scones, mashed tatties and neeps and all the usual daft nonsense that should make up a good party.
