i used to be on a forum where you could press ignore in someone's profile and you just never saw any posts by them. I think that would be a handy button to have
what happens if you go to a thread they've posted on, are there blank spaces or do you just see everyone else's posts? The thread might look rather incoherent if some posts just aren't there.
i've often thought that a great alternative to zapping someone would be to mke it o they could still post, but only they could see their posts. Then they wouldn't know why no-one was answering their posts
Can of worms springs to mind. I can see where you're coming from, but I son't think it will help. You can always ignore a post if you don't like the poster.
I was going to say "I would miss you!" but I don't know if you would get my sense of humour.
Yes I agree as some people I find a little tedious, the usual rant over the same issues which usually go on for an incredibly long time.

No names, no pack drill, but I think what the OP is getting at is that if a prolific poster who holds views antagonistic to the particular reader, the said reader might well say, "Don't show me any more of this poster's ramblings,"
Surely a mature intelligent poster should be able to cope with a Site like AB.
If you don't like a poster don't read what they post, but bear in mind they might just come up with the ideal solution to your query and you'd miss it.
