Is it correct that when they show Mike Brewer going to look at a car and test driving it and then negotiating a price with the seller - it's all acting ?

Car SOS - Tim's antics are all agreed and set up, but that is very obviously fake.
TV is primarily entertainment so the format tries to make the programme entertaining and that involves a lot of fakery
Sometimes they have a decent budget, I think £500k is the biggest I've seen.
Yesterday I watched one in France and the budget was £60k. I was surprised what was available at that price point two years ago.
When they apply they have to state their budget and requirements so they get weeded out if it's unrealistic.
It's obvious some have no intention of buying and I can't understand those that want to buy in a country they've never been to.
I do feel uncomfortable when the presenter seems to pressure the applicants in to making a decision, which does happen occasionally. Danni is the worst for that. I need more than a week to decide to buy a property
I think Bangers & Cash is much more realistic.
B&C - The Restorers demonstrates very well how difficult it is to make money restoring cars & easy to lose large sums.
(A friend bought a Golf Mk1 to restore for £500, once he got it stripped down & shot blasted there wasn't enough metal left to repair. The body was scrapped & he managed to sell off some of the bits for a couple of hundred quid.)
