When I look at my typo's, I think I should go back to school! (bit late now though)
You look like your a budding wildlife gardener, the important thing to remember is, try not to be too tidy, I think the frogs will return in the early spring when its time to spawn, dry your eyes mate!

Don't be too upset wii man. I'm sure they'll hang around and be back from time to time. They mostly stay in the water only in the spring in the breeding season. During the summer they will be hiding around in the undergrowth in your garden looking for worms and insects to eat. So if you want to stop them straying, keep some shady areas of your garden well watered as they like damp undergrowth. Frogs can become quite tame in time if you keep very still while you are near them. Right now I have one particular frog in my pond who is so used to me watching him that I can bend down and gently stroke him without him getting frightened and disappearing down in the water so just be very patient until they get used to you. And if you can dig up worms and feed them to your frogs, they will become even tamer.
Don't cry....here is a picture of my pet frog for you ..enjoy !

.Keep up a frog friendly environment and they will probably be back in the spring.
