black cat

ii need to know whether when you see a black cat crossing the road is good luck or bad luck! i see them all the time crossing the road & ii want to know whether to expect a lucky day or watch my back hahaha! thanks in advance x

I have to say I am not at all Superstitious. I've always been led to believe a black cat is 'bad-news'. My Father in Law and Mother in Law are a darn nuisance for avoiding crossing paths with black cats! I think it goes back to black cats being a 'witch's familiar'; although my guess is that it may well go further back than that.

The best thing to do is to expect a happy day every day! OK, so we all have our bad days but it sure helps make the happy days to be even happier if we are anticipating them ... rather than watching out for black cats ;-)

I am not superstitious except for the black cat crossing the path. I always see a black cat crossing my path as being good luck.

I have absolutely no idea why I believe this to be true as I am still awaiting the 'good fortune'.

Maybe I just don't like my glass being half-empty...
