Are you tired, because you've been running through my mind all night!
Here's 10 pence. Phone your mum and tell her you won't be coming home later.
Where's the thief? Reply: What thief?
The thief that stole the stars and put them into your eyes!
Marks out of two? I'd give you one!
Do you sleep on your stomach? Reply: No.
Do you mind if I do?
The bluntest must be: Get your coat, you've pulled!
Only ever chatted a girl up once. We'd seen each other a couple of times at a bowling alley (eye contact only, no words) & actually bumped into each other in the middle of London (long way from where we both lived) & made very small talk for a couple of minutes.
Next time I saw her at the bowling alley I had to say something, even though I was surrounded by my mates & she, hers. I was about to say "So, do you come here often?" but as I started the sentence realised how awfult that was so thinking quickly decided to ask "Are you a regular bowler?" instead. Unfortunately something got horribly lost in translation and with everybody listening, the very words that came out of my mouth were, "So, tell me, are you regular..?"
It worked though!
"how you doin'?" , "you look pretty in that dress, but it would look better on my floor." bad one I know. Here's the best one ever, actually happen to be in Blackpool while I was visitin' my gran (from the US). This old guy walks up to be in a club says, "Oi there lovey, no pretty girl like you should be sitting down on your own. Here take me son!" he push his son at me and left. Hah!
I never used chat-up lines - women spot such desparation a mile off, I think talking to a lady like she's a human being is a better approach. That said, my fave line was qhoted by Terrence Trent D'arby to Paula Yates on 'The Tube' - "May I know your name? Because, otherwise, in my dreams tonight, I can only call you 'Baby'" I think that's pretty cool, and if I looked like him, it would probably work!
