I desperately need someone with a knowledge of Cornwall!
"Cornish promontory three miles south east of Land's end" (7,4)
I have G*E***P/ *e*d

I assume the second word is head but I cannot track down any promontory that fits.

I am not absolutely confident about some of the other clues but they seem right.
Can someone help please?

you are both amazing! I have looked in mapbooks, I have googled, I have searched high and low and got nowhere. (I don't know the area at all). Swmbo told me 10 minutes ago that i had 15 before bedtime so I was pretty desperate! No chance after today really.

Thank you Mamyalynne. Too late for me to get the message last night even though i see you responded immediately. It was obvious that I had pushed my luck as far as it would go (I had asked for an extension when I "only" had 3 clues left, then another when I had only 2, then the final one which you all helped me out of!). To say the least it was clear that I had reached the limit so I went immediately when I had said thank you to you all. And tonight (the revenge? punishment? ) i have been told that i only have until 9.15....
