The Club is now Open.

Good evening and welcome, everyone.

As the weather has been a little kinder to us of late, the clocks are due to change tonight and the Dark Blues have won the Boat Race, perhaps there is some truth to the rumour that Spring is on its way.
However, the nights are still a little nippy, so gather round our cosy hearth for another Club Night.

Drinks and nibbles will no doubt appear shortly and we can only hope that our trusty Matron will again excel herself with a new tailcock recipe. (Last week's amazing creation, the 'Lunar surprise@ lingers firmly in the memories and possibly also the livers of the members who attended last week.)

The raffle cupboard seems to be bare, so presumably all items were won last week...is this a record ?

Here are my donations for this week's raffle:

A packet of cheese and onion crisps . (Hardly flattened at all.)
A small tin of Mint Balls. (No, not Uncle Joe's, they're for the raffle)
A Fair Isle pattern mitt. (Right hand .)

Please feel free to add to them.

Thank you for the raffle prizes, DT.

I must confirm, though, that matters of religion are never discussed here and we are even open to freemasons and jehovah's witnesses.
Question Author
petal, dear, I don't think we should enquire too closely about police officer's parts. They don't like it, in my experience.
well then just see it as a spent flunky, with a myriad of uses from a weapon of war to an ice cream machine.
I used to love Mr Whippy, but all in the past now.
Question Author
Someone here needs some medication....may be me, may be DT, certainly petal

Matron! Help!
Question Author
Oh no, Matron is joining in the madness...or have I missed out a page ?
I bags the 1/2 an aspirin......
i'll bow to your wisdom,& will no longer meddle with policemen
Mamyalynne - are you a mountain lass, too? As for raffle prizes, I found a mouldy panetonne left over from Christmas today - before I give it to the chickens, shall we put it in the hat?
Meds trolley and bucket on standby, form an orderly queue please.
Question Author
That's good petal. You know it makes sense. If you had a bike, you coudl pedal with a Policeman, if he had a bike....

DT our raffles are run on scrupulously fair lines. If your ticket comes up, you will have the aspirin. No nobbling here.

Hope I get the garden gnome, or failing that the dishcloths.
I shall feed it to one of my sheep - it adds to the lamb and means I can take a dosage in for my weak heart over Sunday lunch in seven months time. Our Welsh guest should be able to testify to lamb marinated in salyicate acid.....
Question Author
You haven't won it yet, DT...but some tickets and wait your turn.
I'm sure I've taken my meds for the day, your getting me very confused now with that trolley. Do you have anything for confusion?
evenin' all...as always a pleasure to be in your company. mamy - holler if you need another nurse for the meds round. am a little squiffy myself, but as always, am ready to chip in x
Question Author
We almost certainly do ....but are you sure you want to be confused ?
I prefer it in red wine with garlic, DT. As we haven't been officially introduced, I'd like to say that I'm actually a Scot, but I live in Wales, och aye!
Question Author
Good evening elsie. Nice to see you again.

I don't think we want to go for chips yet...maybe later ?
I shall wait my good fortune as to the aspirin, having volunteered it , and especially in not landing the £117 million on offer from some dubious European tax avoidance scheme, the probability of a triumphant win must be greatly increased.
Question Author
On missionary work , Kleiber ?
