Good evening members new and old, once more I am left in the lurch - I mean in charge as the Aristo's have toddled off to see some prestingdig... er pestergating er Magic Show.

The Aga has been well used today and arrayed on the long buffet table in the short gallery are amongst other things, a beautiful Roast Gammon joint (do carve as you require), some tasty Tandoori Chicken skewers with a Raita dip. All the usual nibbles and Tailcocks are there also.

This week's guest tipple is 'Magic Wand!' a truly amazing concoction and perfect accompaniment to the Gammon.

For the raffle I have;
2 cards of Kirby grips
6 Playing cards (all jokers)
Half a jar of Branston pickle
A dozen Liquorice teabags.

So welcome all, settle in and chat.

Anyone can play niles. You don't actually have to be over 50 but you definitely have to be mad. Don't sign anything or you could find yourself with a nasty job like cleaning out the moat or washing down the animals (don't ask).
Could you speed up the application of the embrocation, mamya? I think there's something fishy afoot...
That is very long hair kate - do you keep it in a bun?

Oh my life, I do apologise , got all flustered there.

Round of applause for ttfn's rendition.
OOPS! Not over 50! My apologies. (must read before I post!) x
You really meant it when you said it was short then, ttfn. I am astonished and must needs have another tailcock. Pass the jug of Magic Wand pleae.

All done Maj come back for clean dressings as and when, are you off for a dish supper?? Plenty hog left.
Maj is quite right, Mamya, may we have more Wagic Mands please? Anyone got a saw - I feel like cutting something in half.
I know her by her angry air,
Her bright green eyes, her bright black, now silvery hair,
Her rapid laughters wild and shrill,
As laughter of the woodpecker
From the bosom of a hill.
'Tis Slinky Kate;' she sayeth what she will;
For Slinky hath an unbridled tongue,
Clear as the twanging of a harp.
Her heart is like a throbbing star.
Slinky hath a spirit ever strung
Like a new bow, and bright and sharp
As edges of the scimitar.
Whence she took a fitting Maj shhh mate?
For Kate no common love will feel;
Our AB woman-soldier, gallant Slinky Kate,
No ,No, niles, you don't have to be over 50. Please don't go, we could do with a few more men.
OH WOW'encore,that was lovely.x x x x x kate.
(just knowing where to look in the verse world then some subtle "adjustments".....) xx

You must print that off Katy, very good indeed.
Mamya, I fear Maj has been rejected, sniff, sniff.
Cyrano has captured Kate's heart, either that or his braces have got caught up in her long hair.
