Choose to Refuse
8 Answers
There's a lot about BT 'Choose to Refuse' on the internet as a way of stopping unwanted phone calls:
http://bt.custhelp.co...s-choose-to-refuse%3F
At one point it says, "To bar other numbers at any time with Choose to Refuse, Dial 14258 and enter your PIN....."
I cannot find how I'm supposed to establish/register a PIN. Does anyone on AB use this facility. Advice welcome.

If you get a nuisance call and the number shows up on your caller display (but don't answer it) you dial 14258 enter your pin and enter the callers number and press to confirm. If you answer the call and speak to them you press 14258 and the message asks you if you would like to block the last phone number you received.

As it can only accept 10 numbers and would need a lot of updating, I'm thinking now it would not be right for me. I occasionally visit my ISP's webmail page where anything unwanted can be identified as 'junk' and also have MailWasher. Taking all into account there could be up to 2,000 emails in some weeks.
One mistake was when I created a website with numerous sub-sections and used too many variations of my email address. I could put anything in front of the @ and they were all picked up by spammers as separate addresses. Thank you all for your interest.
