Good evening and welcome everyone

I am glad to report that Mamyalynne's potions and possets have finally done the trick and got rid of my virus. I am almost completely restored to health...hardly glowing in the dark at all now.

The Committee have decided that the usual fireworks display will take place this evening. Any members remembering where the matches are hidden are asked to report this to someone.

All animals have been locked in the Conservatory and lordalex and Uncle Joe have been securely tethered in their room.

Tonight's raffle prizes include:

A set of dominoes (double 3 missing)
4 pairs of footless tights ( 2 black, 2 pink)
Six Thornton's toffees.(tested but not fully chewed).

Good evening Milady - glad you are restored to rude health'

The pyrotechnics are on place and all the villagers are waiting safely beyond the moat to watch.

Sustenance tonight is a large pot of chilli with hunks of crusty bread, a fiery sausage and bean stew and off course a slab of my home made Parkin.

Tonights tailcocks include the BangFing!!
For the rofl

Bonfire toffee (not for those with partial plates)
A dozen lolly sticks (washed)
An egg cup in the shape of a horse
Evening All,

Glad you are better milady. For the waffle I have a few mini mars bars and milky ways unwanted by the trick or treaters.
Good evening to all this long night of the Fawkes, Wrights, Bates and the rest of the conspirators. Be careful of the gunpowder under the chapel crypt by the way. I saw 40 barrels of XO Cognac down there.

Hic.

It would be a shame to lose that.

The raffle offerings from the Bard:

* One spent match
* One rocket stick
* One kilo of TNT, short fuses
* One ex-fusebox
* One Puritan hat
* One visitors ticket to the Speakers Gallery
* One Black Rod, functionality unknown
* One Drachma
* One item of underwear for the Castle Fetishists, courtesy of the Argentinian Crumpet of a President.
Glad to hear that your waters (scotch levels?) are restored, MiLady....

Welcome all and thank you so much for the raffle prizes. We shall do well this evening.

A large glass of Bangfling and a slab of parkin for me, please.

Hope I win the drachma, the way things are going abroad.

Waters???
A bit personal, DT if I may make so bold.....

Anyway, I am fine now, thanks to Matron and her ministrations.
Bangfings! all round they are warming and lively - they are lovely.
Evening milady. So glad you have incarcerated those who may be unhinged by the pyrotechnics. Did anyone think to blindfold the crocodile?
For the rifle I have brought my last remaining Bengal Match (not sure whether it is green or red). An out of date library card and a teeny weeny bottle of Chanel No. 5. Smells disgusting on me.
What's this about a crocodile?. I would have kept out of the moat if I'd known.

Good evening Daisy. I'm sure all the beasts are taken care of...at least the four legged ones...

Thank you for your raffle prizes, I'm sure someone will be delighted with the library card..so useful for flashing as fake ID .

Another BangFling would be most welcome and can I have the recipe for the parkin, or is that a closely guarded secret ?
I wrote this early for the Venerable Venator's The Apotheosis thread to which a number of us contribute.

However, since that submission there has been some further polishing and little modifications, so I apologise, in part, to those who have sighted the largesse of this already.

Bonfire Prayers

Remember, remember the Fifth of November
Trigger-Powder, Monsters and plots,
I see no reason why Monster Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Knob-Be, Knob-Be ’twas his intent
To blow up Alex-Ed, his Party an’ Tent,
Three score barrels of Doc powder below
Poor AB Castle to overthrow.

By Venator’s tact he was catch’d
With Ankou lantern and burning match,
Holler AB boys, holler AB girls, get Mamya outta sing
Holler AB boys, holler AB girls, God Save our Lie-in King!

A Baker’s Eclair to feed the Troll
A Lottie o’ Mouse cheese to choke him,
A pint Ratter to rinse it down
A Jogger of sticks to burn him.

Burn him in a tub of Rowan’s tar
Burn him like a blazing Alba star,
Boxtops his body from his head
Then we’ll say Ed’s Troll is dead.

Pip Pip Lady A!
B00 B00 Lady A!
Gran Gran Hooray!
Polar Bear, do be careful around the moat even though we have been assured that this crocodile is vegetarian. Last time I looked (when it was still light in the evenings) I saw a frog with fangs. Weeks before Hallow'een.
Where may I hide my cloak? Parkin and a Bangwhatever sound delightful. Double? Was rather unnerved by coloured lights in the sky as I flew my trusty
broom steed here.

DT, you amaze me as always.
Is the position of Loet Paureate free?
If so, you must be in the running for it.

The crocodile is quite safe, PB. Alexanderd dealt withit for us some time ago. Cannot vouch for the frog, though...
tank you, tank you...there is a teeny typo - a pint o' Ratter......

he will have a hoot at that, Ratter being a Cornish cider.
Well the villagers seem happy enough with the show, have checked all creatures too - all good, not relishing the clean up tomorrow though.

Sorry Milady the recipe is secret as you surmise, I almost brought some buttered frogs another local speciality but not sure to everyone's taste.

Roll up for more BangFings !!!
yum - une cuisse de grenouille en beurre - magnifique!
青蛙的腿在黃油 - 百勝百勝
(Trad Chinese for Frogs legs in butter - Yum Yum)

Is there no end to your erudition, DT.

I suspected that the parkin recipe would be secret, Mamya, but was wondering if I could detect a hint of anchovy ?
