first stop - parish priest - erm choose a Catholic one !
then you undergo a course of instruction...
what happens if you dont like it ? you say well Father....
and then and then (but not like the next week) you attend Mass
and then at the end in front of the congregation - affirm your belief in the teachings of the Bishop of Rome.
Princess Di was the most famous non convert. She chose the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster as her first point of contact. We ARE a church of sinners but her sins proved too burdensome for even the famously forgiving Cardinal. There was also the suspicion that she was doing it solely to disoblige the Prince of Wales.
Fun rituals - esp if you become cardinal or Pope !
Sacraments - such as christening - ask an expert - the Pope is gonna have some time on his hands they say. Thorny issue as basically holy orders of Anglicans are not recognised by catholics but are recognised the other way round. Big doctrinal issue - Idont think it is a big deal for Prots to take communion in a catholic church but my G+ the priests throw the furniture around when they find out.
