Hey folks the club is open, come on in!
On tonight's agenda we have the Minstrels back again in the gallery with the usual selection of madrigals and fugues, local favourites, the Tone Deafs are playing in the ballroom, tonight they are giving us a selection of covers from the 1970's (break out the loon pants and tanks tops everybody!) Also for members entertainment, the hot tub is bubbling away on the north tower, the bungee is awaiting it's first vic... volunteer.... the racing track is ready for use as are the rowing boats down by the lake. Tonight's tailcock will be the "Hooray Henry" an interesting brew with more than a hint of ginger! Our hot plate special is meatballs in a red wine sauce with pasta, and on the pudding trolley we have tiramisu, as well as the usual selection of canopies and volley vonts. For our members further entertainment, I have to announce the opening of the Towers' gym! Situated in the cellars near the indoor swimming pool (cossies are available for those without one)
Please remember try not to upset Sir Cumference the Towers ghost (doesn't like too much noise) In view of the inclement weather here at the Towers the games room is all set up for our guests.
Anyone wishing to stay over please see Belle in the vestibule to arrange a suite.
For the rofl tonight I have:
1 cross stich kit, half done, chart lost
pack of blunt needles
2 odd socks
jar of assorted buttons

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

It's "1356” by Bernard Cornwell but it is part of a series of books called The Grail Quest by him. I think it's the fourth. If you want more of a stand alone book try his 'Azincourt' it's good too.
Question Author
Yes I've seen those, I wondered what they were like. I might download one and see, I have read some of the Sharpe books. Might even start with Azincourt, I have a soft spot for Henry of Monmouth Thanks for that.
Question Author
Very well Igor, once the last of the guests have left, and Chubb has locked the gates, you and the staff may commence the clear up

I shall be in my chambers if needed
As you wish Madame. I shall also endeavour to keep my chains quiet as I do my rounds so as not to disturb
