Welcome to Nungate Towers and the meeting of AB's Mad Over Fifties Club.
Tonight our Tailcock will be the "Nippy Sweetie" an inspiring little brew guaranteed to warm the cockles on this nippy evening. The Towers kitchens have been busy and have rustled up a fine selection of volley vonts, canopies and horses doovers. Our Hot Plate Special tonight is a Steak and mushroom pie so full to the brim with deliciousness that the gravy has to be served separately as there isn't mushroom left for it! All served with veggies from the Towers estate. On the pudding trolley we have toffee apple sponge pudding with custard or whipped cream.
The Minstrels are back in the Gallery warming up, later we shall be regaled with their usual madrigals and fugues, and later on they have threatened to give us their interpretation of the greatest hits of Kiss! oh dear
Meanwhile down in the Ballroom, we have Bert Gonzalez and his band of Loco Banditos with their crazy Latin rhythms for some energetic salsa and samba music for members who wish to give their maracas a good old shake!
As always, the hot tub will be bubbling away on the north Tower, (mini bar has been restocked) The bungee is all set for a good old bounce! The indoor pool has been warmed up (cossies are available) Sir Cumference has returned to his dungeon so please try not to make too much noise to disturb him.
For the rofl tonight I have to offer
Broken lute strings (a donation from the Minstrels)
Tin of armour polish
used corn plaster (thank you Nanny)

Lost and Found
A set of fangs were found in one of the guest suites. Would the owner like to collect them from Belle (if she is not in the vestibule, she can be found in the Ladies Retiring room)

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals this evening

carriages at midnight.

Did Chubb unlock the doors?
Question Author
Yes, of course he did, they were opened this morning.
Good evening Madame, I see our guests haven't arrived yet. Plant has all the drinks ready, it is a tasty concotion this evening, just the thing for a cold night.
I do hope the flying conditions are good......
Evening your nungateship and queenie ( hope your feeling better today ), I wondered were I had left my fangs ( great for giving love bites ! ), a bucket of that great sounding tailcock ''Nippie Sweetie'' if you please. Hope Igor's poorly leg is still improving.
Good evening your ladyship, I hope you are all well and Igor is in good form. For the rofle I bring a box of mince pies, must not eat any more, some humble pie and a 'well done to daisy and tonyav'
Evening queenie and nungate. Hope you are both well. Thank goodness I am flying tonight and not walking. Still recovering from smashing an unshod foot with a door which was stuck and which I wrenched too heartily.
Would love to samba.
For the rifle I have a double barrelled pencil sharpener, some plastic coated paper clips (pink, unfortunately), a dozen drawing pins with vari-coloured
heads, a polymer eraser and two unused, unsharpened HB pencils.
A nippy sweetie sound like just what I need.
Not much moonlight to navigate tonight.
Good Evening Tony, Sib and Daisy :) I'm not too shabby - better than last night I have to say which is a blessing
Question Author
Good evening all. I hope you are all well.

Daisy, haven't you got a headlight on the broom?

Ah here's Plant now with the drinks.....
Question Author
I agree with you there Queenie, you seem much happier/better today than yesterday. Of course it could be down to us getting out and about visiting the Martinmas Fair at the Church today....
Thanks Sib. Did wonder earlier about donating my Villa socks to the rifle. Have reconsidered. Slightly edgy waiting for the result. Lived in Cardiff for four years.
I just generally feel better today - I knew I wasn't right when I woke up yesterday. But I did have a lovely day today none the less :) and I love my new books!
The leg is much better Tony Sir, you will no doubt notice that I am no longer using the crutch but have progressed to a stick

Good evening Ladies, Madame Sibs and Madame Daisy.

The snug is ready and waiting for the broom and kitties, lovely roaring fire in there too, I just popped on a few more logs
How thoughtful Igor. Is popping on a log a new dance step? So glad your leg is recovering.
No headlamp on Eric. Candles make him nervous and tend to blow out on take off.
I can see the difficulty there Madame Daisy. Have you considered one of those lamps that fit over your head on a band? The plumber who came to fix one of the showers had one of those and he was just fixing the shower!
Glad to hear that, queenie, and yes Igor I had noticed the the crutch is missing to be replaced by a stick onwards and upwards Igor.
Evening Psybbo and Daisy, your both looking very glamorous tonight.
Great result for us, Daisy.
Good idea Igor, but what about my hat?
Queenie, new books? How exciting.
Oh off to the snug for me with some volley vents and a Nippy Sweetie, please Igor
Thank you Tony. Have always loved shades of purple.
Yes, was a little worried to see Abonglahor was injured before the match
Me too Tony I felt absolutely horrible - but Nungate was fabby - unlike mr nungate :(

Yes Daisy 3 new books got all 3 for £2 I got a book about The Red Volcanoes - some FAB-U-LOUS pictures in it! A book called What Really Sank the Titanic and a book by Linwood Barclay :)
You carry on Madame Sibs, get yourself cosy and Plant will be along presently with your refreshments. Please note though that there is a tray of goodies already in there and a lovely box of chocolates, by the way the tv is in the little cabinet by the fireside
