think 5d shud be Les Dennis (sinned backwards - faults)

And 13d is Non-Fiction.
Hope you are feeling better today .
think 13d is non-fiction (non= French for refusal , friction without 'r' in it is fiction)

Dog ...Cur
Constellation is Reticulum without the alien ET..

Thanks all. Non fiction fits well. Les dennis would stop repertoire on 11a. If this is right (and I think it is as an anagram) then 5d 2nd word begins with r. r?e???? being the total. It also means I've got one or two others wrong.

Thanks for reasons on curriculum. My mind is too clever by half, running around canis major, the name of the constellation! Never thought of cur.

Also now a problem with 16a "second one preserving medical device". ?c?n???

BobB, If you're still struggling with 16a, it's S+CANNER!

5d TV comedian to turn back during faults is now

???/r?e?e?

where does that leave us?

5d Vic Reeves
Question Author
Fits thanks, but why?

Explanation of Vic Reeves:

turn = veer, so turn back = reev
faults = vices
during suggest within, so put reev inside vices and there you have it.

A step too far for me!
