Onwards And Downwards Continues In March 2015
94 Answers
Hello all,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
So Spring is officially here with March and hopefully we can all spend a bit more time out of doors :-).
So what is good to eat in Spring? Apparently, seafood like sardines, mackerel, salmon and oysters. Here are a couple of simple easy and above all healthy fish recipes:

This looks yummy and easy I might try it :-)

Also good this months are purple sprouting broccoli, cabbage, celeriac and chicory.

I like mackerel, not to mention tomatoes and beans. (Not the cucumber obviously.) But at 721 kc and 8.5 gms of sat fat per serving, that's over a third of my daily allowance. Definitely for a day I'm not too worried about the diet ;-)
Thanks for the suggestions though Auntie. Always good to have options.

Well done all the losers...After increasing my carb intake, though taking more exercise, I'm flummoxed to find I've still lost 900 grams this week! That's down to 74.1 (11 stone 9 pounds from 15 stone). There was a swagger in my journey to the supermarket this morning!
After so long (12 months) on this low carb diet, I no longer want bread or biscuits, or a return to all those fattening meals, so I've only been increasing the foods that I've used this last year. This week, though, I'm trying roast chicken with roasted sweet potato chips, so watch this space!

The plateau in weight loss is a recognised phenomenon and something of a morale-sapper. It got a mention in the 3-part Horizon called "What Diet is Right For You?".
I created a thread about it but couldn't select WL&D from my mobile and the thread got only 4 or 5 replies.
I have since watched another one called "Why Don't Thin People Get Fat?" which had some interesting nuggets of information in it. Interesting to me, that is. The rest of the programme will only make you envious and give you the wrong idea on what is best for yourselves. Avoid it until after you've reached your target.

Hi hypo we don't call it dieting . The same diet don't work for everyone .We call it healthy eating . The whole object of our posts is to give one another support and also come up with ideas . But thanks for your input we would rather not go too technical .also it helps when we put in our bad days as we try to rectify it for the following week .
