yesterday moring i was getting a bad fever, glands swollen badly, cold but very hot and sweating, headache, no cough. pains going throu my bones , severe weakness. it knocked me for 6 so much so i was going to call an ambulance . i could not stand due to severe dizziness.

i took a couple of sleeping tablets last night, i woke this morning an i actually feel not that bad. throat sore and body stiff etc but i feel ok.

i went to toilet just now and my pee was pure black, i couldnt even see the toilet , it was black . maybe the infection getting out of my body ?

i have not had sexual contact in a couple of months and im thinking what this was as a flu generally lasts a good few days.

Sounds like an attack of hepatitis B......which is a viral infection.

No drug therapy or investigations are needed at this stage, but don't drink alcohol and follow your normal eating regime if you feel like it.
Rest in bed is helpful to recovery.

Watch out for yellow skin and yellow whites of the eyes and get back to us in 48 hours.

You may need blood tests to confirm the diagnosis.

thanks. is this something i should see my doctor about. i had hep b 6 years ago and have had the vaccine about 2 years ago.

No very unlikely.

Well it is only a "likely" diagnosis and i would give it 48 hours to assess the situation, but if it would reassure you, then give him a ring today.

Just noticed that you have had the HepB vaccine 2 years ago........this should protect you fro at least 10 years, making infective hepatits B unlikely.

this morn feel bit better , sore thraot and dizziness are still here so is black coloured urine.

must say ive had a flu jab 1 year ago also. im lost as what it could be.

I still think it is "viral", drink plenty of "non alcoholic " fluids today and give it until tomorrow and if the urine hasn't returned to a normal colour, then contact your GP.

You spent most of yesterday trying to hook up your new 50 inch TV ending up going off to Argos at 7 pm to get stuff -think you maybe overdid it, especially as you had a fever and nearly had to call an Ambulance. I think you should call 111 then rest today

i forgot to keep you updated, how rude of me ;-) anyway, i felt better yesterday and last night , well good enough to stand up and even drive a car though im still sick and weak but im going to work 6x12 hr shifts on monday lol
