First of all let me thank everybody for your Good Wishes on our 6oth W.A. I am now walking in the same circles as jno i.e. after a phone call to Buckingham Palace (made by daughter) we have received a Congratulatory Letter and Photo of the Queen and also one from the Governor -General of Australia and one from our Prime Minister on the occasion of Our Diamond...

Hi Neti you ok?
Yes jude, fine, just surviving until the dreadful heat goes! You OK?
Question Author
It was overcast and rainy this am but it's got better. I have deleted my FB profile as I just couldn't get on with it. Nothing personal.

Morning All. Just had another shower here but it looks like it might brighten up in a bit. Hope you are all ok and you're still in my thoughtsShaney
Hi Neti. Yes you can delete temporarily or permanently. Your Piccy is removed off all your friends lists. That's why I say it's nothing personal as some friends have noticed my photo isn't on their list anymore and they have sent me an email asking about it.
Off to Rolleston today to see a friend who used to live next door. Our kids grew up together. So we're in for a good natter.
Bye for now....Have a good day
Morning all. The question is, shall I go out and try to tackle the jungle of fast growing weeds, or shall I potter about. I shall have another cuppa and then make a decision. Have been gadding about for a couple of days so a day at home will be lovely
Enjoy your day out Jude.

How's you jno?

Thinking as always of Shaney.
oooh potter! I spent yesterday and the day before sorting stuff round the house. Back is saying no today so am going to take it easy. Shaney if you are reading this I am thinking of you both.
only three health problems currently flaring up, Lottie, so that's a good day and the sun has even come out - oh no, it's just gone back in again, but it's definitely around somewhere. Might even get out and do something instead of watching black-and-white DVDs or moping round the garden. Did I mention some creep has stolen our hydrangea? We had one in a pot next to the driveway and someone took the flower (but left the pot). So much for our attempts to brighten up the neighbourhood. Our neighbourhood is actually very pretty and other people have lots of colourful plants whereas we just have cars. I suppose it will have to stay that way if you can't even plant a hydrangea without someone helping themselves.

I too have been thinking of Shaney.
For Dolly. Congratulations!!!

"Tonight's the night's you're gonna have some fun......."
jno - Better perhaps that they stole the hydrangea and not one of the cars!! Because noone actually ever walks past our house, except the occasional man with traffic cones, the postlady or British Telecoms, we don't get things nicked. We get things thrown in our garden from passing cars - nice things like coke cans and fish and chip wrappings and on one occasion a soiled disposable nappy!!

So shall we all have a 'potter' day then!! It's sunny but feeling uncannily autumnal. Socks and jumper again I think.

I need to go to the doctors to check up on all my various things, but I'm putting it off. I ought to speak to him about my leg - the wound still doesn't look quite right to me - I am waiting for a log to emerge!!

Morning Woofy!
and Neti...........
a sixpence, neti... used to be able to have a slap-up dinner at the Savoy, an evening watching Marie Lloyd at the Empire and a hansom cab home and still have change from one of those...
oh s0d it, just lost my post!!...grrrrrrrr.....it must be off with your shrub jno.

In a nutshell...
p'd off with weather, too autumnal....
I've got a sixpence from my birth year...
why the hell are radox doing a shower gell called African sanctuary? If you want to smell like that just don't wash at all.

amen & out...going to scream...bang head...chop the heads of somebody's hydrangea...
Hmmm, see Robi's happy!!
Overcast today, so went for long walk, feel better for it, locals says it's not gonna rain but I've put washing under patio just in case! Daughter is covered in awful acne type spots on back, shoulders and face and neck, she thinks I can cure it! but she has to see doctor! Fiesta here today (they must have known it was Dolly ad Eric's 60th) so not much open:

Thinking of you shaney and mr s
Also hope DH is Ok and of course jno!!!! (although she sounds chipper enough!!)
Afternoon folks..
pssst...got some hydrangeas fer sale....they fell off the back off a garden..(:O)The suns out and its warm..hope you are okay mr and mrs shaney.Welldone dolly.....you should get a kangaroo named after you....later.
OI..where's that kip got to then...
Gardening advice needed please! We are trying to grow tomatos in pits and they have got to be about 1½ inches (i don't do cms) but are going all brown and don't look at all healthy. Now Mr N says it's because it is too hot for them. They are not in the sun all day but defo for a good few hours, I have since moved one to see if there's difference but can't really tell. My friend has very tall tomato vines and they are also going brown, so guess it must be the heat. The wild ones which grew outside my gate blossomed in the winter/spring. So is there anything I can do or shall I abandon the project?
