"WARNING TO VISITORS TO SCOTLAND"

We have been asked by the SHPS ( Scottish Haggis Protection Society) to warn people about the dangers of Haggis Laying Season.
The months of July and August are when Haggi are particularly dangerous, while protecting their newly hatched Hagglets.

If you spot a brood while you are out and about exploring, please do KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE!
Coastal Haggi can be particularly vicious and give you a nasty peck, they are very fast swimmers.

But the worst ones are the rarely seen Galloway Belted Haggi, they live in the hills and can run particularly quickly for the species.

Also watch out now for Urban Haggi that due to changes in modern agricultural practice, come into the town's and villages to look for turnips, (their favourite food).

There are many rumours that Avon skin so soft is a good Haggi Repellent - THIS IS NOT TRUE, Every one locally knows the only thing that keeps them away is if you suck plenty of Moffat Toffee or play loud Bagpipe music!
PLEASE DO BE CAREFUL

I'll have a glass of whatever you've had Maggie!
lol, Maggi and the Haggi, sounds like a folk music group
Ah, my woman uses Avon Head So Soft. That's why we don't see any Haggi down here.

When does the Haggi season start ? I could do with a fresh one.
I agree, maggie. Very dangerous this time of the year.

Well there's 2 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Agreed, LadyCG.
I've never trusted a beastie with two legs shorter than the others.

Good in a pastie though ;-)

The urban species sounds really dodgy - will definitely keep an eye out for them!
You tried Maggie ,
Ah! The games a foot.
the purple-heather eating ones are luscious but can only be captured between Dec 10 and Jan 19th.
Do they freeze well if you get too many to use at once? Also how long do they have to be hung to get the best flavour?
No specific time but they do need to be well hung.
Douglas I love reading your answers, you always make me smile :-}
Aye, but only if your into haggis sausage
Now I know where the British Navy and its 19 admirals are - defending the border waters.....
