I am heartily glad I was born here, I am proud of many of the wonderful innovations Britain has brought about throughout the ages.

It's not British to be proud of Britain. Moaning is in the British psyche and I can understand that but what really *** me off is when people who have been given a good living by this country moan about Britain. Sometimes I wonder where they would be in life if they had stayed in their own country

I'm happy and thankful to live in a democratic country with freedoms many people in poorer parts of the world would dream of. And it welcomed my grandparents in the 50s. Not sure about the pride bit but yes, Britain has a great history. I've studied British history.
