Ox Tail soup

OK, I'm a single fifty year old male. My mum died many years ago, and sad to say, most of the women these days don't actually cook the sort of things I grew up with, including Ox Tail soup. Liver & Bacon I can get in the pub, real steak and kidney pies I can actually make myself, but I need to know how to make an Ox Tail soup as our mums would have made it back in the 60's and before. Anyone any recipes?

When I saw your post I immediately thought to refer to the well-worn volume which was handed down to me. Then I remembered that I'd lent it to a friend who lost it (or, more likely, flogged it at a car boot sale!).
All is not lost, however, because the internet comes to the rescue. Mr's B's recipe is here:

I�m off at a tangent her but can you still buy Oxtails? I thought they�d been banned because of the BSE hoo-ha?
I used to see them all the time but I haven�t seen them for ages although obviously they must still be around as a by product - I want some now!
