Top 10 Films
27 Answers
I've checked some through some old answers but most seem to point towards everyones favourite film but if you had to name your top ten films what would they be, to start the ball rolling mine are, in no particular order
Stand by Me
Life of Brian
Sin City
Platoon
Back to the Future (1,2,+3, taking them as 1)
The Goonies
The Inside Man (If you haven't seen it, it is superb)
The Butterfly Effect (I know Ashton Kutcher is in it but it's still very original, unless you saw Donnie Darko first which I didn't)
The Breakast Club
Being John Malkovich
From compiling this list I've realised that I could have added at least 30 more classics but that'll take to long so I'll leave it at that.

1-Jaws - some of you will remember how big it was when it came out. And it lived up to the hype.
2-The Godfather 1 and 2 - truly epic.
3-The Searchers - the one movie John Wayne should have got an Oscar for.
4-Taxi Driver - amazing performance from De Niro, Keitel and Foster. And wonderfully directed by Scorsese. Dark, grimy and unsettling.
5-Raging Bull-see above (minus Foster and Keitel)
6-Alien-c'mon, who didnt jump at THAT scene.
7-The Exorcist-still has the power to shock and unsettle, nothing comes close for full on, in your face, dont peek through your fingers mental terror.
8-One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest-great performance from Jack.
9-Angels with Dirty Faces-Cagney is the most underrated gangster ever. A wonderful actor and a great performance.
10-Lawrence of Arabia-No prisoners!!!!!
11-Reservoir Dogs-sorry, I had to include this as well. Possibly the greatest modern day script. dick dick dick dick dick.
