I have it on good authority that during this, his last week King Ulysses the Valiant will be "tip-toeing through the tulips" somewhere in Norfolk ~ setting off very early tomorrow morning. He has left behind his preamble and link words for me to do the honours in his absence and not even Pauline herself could guess at this stage what he has to say. After two years of organising MM Links, I have never met a history to match that of King Ulysses. His success over the years with difficult cryptic crosswords and his botanical expertise just mark the beginning of his surprises!
Friday night in the Croft is usually Italian Night, when the red wine flows like the Tiber (or like Tizer?). I am composing this text over two hours in advance, while I can still focus on the keyboard! I only hope that I can make it tomorrow in time for my launch of the MM Links posting on AnswerBank at 8.45am with the four chosen words to be linked (pre-selected by King Ulysses) being declared at 9.00am. Don't forget that this week is the decider in order to dish out honours for the month of October and (at present) recent ex-champion, Dinkypuzzled, is in the lead. More details tomorrow morning!
Pauline,
You must be confused between Lancashire, Cheshire and the Greater Manchester Metropolitan County.....anyway, I thought that it was the rich that lived in Cheshire:-o)))
Good night all - have to get back to my lonely motel room before I'm turned into a pumpkin! And next Friday I shall be listening to this - live in Skeggi!!!! Yee Hahhhhhh!
I love Skeggie!!!....Goodnight Dustybun...you've got until midnight!
Wonder where Ulysses is lurking?....those Norfolk Broads are flat...so he should stand out!
Sarumite's been hiding tonight....when I was in Blackpool during the week...they were selling tins for magic mushrooms! That's where he must be...replemishing! :-)
Doesn't Samurite go off truffle, or magic mushroom, hunting fairly early every Friday evening......and Strix disappeared early this evening, perhaps he's lending Samurite a hand!!
Goodnight Dusty and Xray. I will be here in the morning so perhaps I will score a point again tomorrow.
Pauline it's not easy to say No in some situations!!!!
