Whats the common name for 'Turdus Torqatus' please ? It's a blackish thrush.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Turdus torquatus is the ring ouzel. It's blackish, as you say, very like a blackbird, but with a white collar. It lives in mountain areas, migrating southwards in winter.
I think ouzel means "collared", and the word is also used for the unrelated dipper or water ouzel, Cinclus cinclus.
Last week I was apparently a hundred metres or less from a migrating ring ouzel, but sadly I didn't find it.
