Good evening, everyone is most welcome to pop in and toast the start of this new year. I feel we may be a bit more casual this evening as am sure all are a bit weary with too much partying.
There are plenty of nibbles on the hall buffet table and of course, mulled wine and tailcocks too, any suggestions for new mixes will be met where possible.

Any rejected xmas gifts will be more than welcome as ruffle prizes and if it is very quiet, will be rolled over until next week.

So welcome all both new and old, slightly mad or just a bit miffed. Any good party game ideas would be fun . I do hope Milady does not mind this impromptu opening.

Please don't mention flush to me matron (a slight kidney infection as a last minute present to myself on Christmas Eve). Have been wearing so many layers of clothing to get through the cold weather - should I have taken some off before dressing on the following days do you suppose?

I've been desperately trying to fend that off for weeks but no matter how many times I have quoted Lady Chatterlys Lover she takes no notice. I think that's what I used to call her deaf side in my youth.

Thank god, over 50's only just, but I could do with a real party. stayed in last night as had tummy bug, felt better today, so just got back from a "games evening" well they were all younger than me, could'nt keep up with the drinking games(excuse spelling), and as for twister...............well lets just say, the consept passed them by!!

I've a "stig" key ring for the raffle, and 1/2 .............ok an 1/4 bottle of vodka left , and no I've no idea what that is in metric...........

Who said you couldn't be trusted if you have not got an avatar Chaff? Have you been on the thread asking about trolls being suspended. What happens is if you click on any avatar it will tell you whether the subject has been suspended or not. In your case you have some questions and answers and you are not suspended. It is not the avatar that is in question. I was without one for ages and nobody worried about me. Mind you i am invisible as well, perhaps that was it. You will only be ostracised if you turn out to be horrible (that was a good word wasn't it, no not horrible, ostracised) That is if I have spelled it right. and if anyone cares!!

Chaff I had to wait for my daughter to visit before I could get an avatar. I was completely useless at it. She did it in about two seconds. You will have to find someone who knows how to do it. In the meantime, we already know you and your jelly babies are fine. Have some of this marvellous food and please note it is not left overs. How do you fancy being a game keeper. It won't cost you much and you only have to supply plenty of game, or should that be games, I am never quite sure especially after reading Lady Chatterley's Lover (twice) And watching the tv version of it.
