Most people are nice - on here and in life in general :+)

< just that with a constant bombardment of ugly stuff from the media it can be easy to forget sometimes >

A good quilt can be a record of your life... I used to have one that had fabric from my baby dresses, ny school summer dresses, all sorts of things little scraps of fabric that used to tke me right back in time to my great grandmother sitting in her room sewing all day producing all sorts of patchwork, lace and embroidery
That's nice.

Most people are nicer than we give them credit for :-)

Ps wish i had one like the blanket in the film stepmum!! Xx
I might do one to celebrate my life with Redman ... starting with when we met and finishing on our first wedding anniversary bits from the clothes I was wearing, embroidery to represent the wildlike and birds we love... that sort of thing... not as a full quilt but maybe as a patchwork wall hanging

Started off just something i wanted for my room and thought- "ill do it myself" and all matching...but the more i think on it its getting sentimental ...

The bag of stuff ive been given really is wonderfull there must be 20 patterns!!! Also she included some patterns for me made of cardboard and a metal one!

Lengths of material, triangles of material and also strips for edging- its inspired me to mabye not do such a square-ish one! Hmmmmm xx
i am jesting. it was a job application form. they were a little sheepish.
I did quilts about 20 years ago. I have just given some of them to the charity shop. I might do another one soon. Love it when they have hidden meanings and scraps of material that mean such a lot.
really thoughtful x
