yes it is:
Get a very long stick, like really, realy long (preferably at least 299 792 458 m, or even better, a large integer multiple of this)
Measure it.
Stand so that the tip of the stick just reaches the on button.
At the exact time that you prod the on button with the stick, press the start button on your stopwatch.
When you see the light come on in the microwave, press the off button.

did see this question some time ago and the answer was somewhere on the net

it related to finding the frequence of microwave(usually on back of mc) timing the melting of choc bar and doing some math with results
