There are many closer black holes cygnus x1 is only 6,000 light years then there's the super-massive one at the centre of the galaxy.

I suppose such a young one is special though

That's the trouble with these new fangled tellyscopes. Looking at something in the neighborhood used to conjure up visions of aiming ones spy glass in the direction of the window across the way.
