There are many who have neither the reason nor the wherewithal to buy presents for loved ones, family or friends.

I believe that Christmas should be a special time to be with the people closest to you or, at least, in spirit.

Have a heart and think of others who may be less fortunate than yourself ♥

Not sure what my Christmas day will bring, but I am never truly alone - some are by choice and I respect that , others have no choice, I feel for them.

I will see family in Christmas week that I know I have to look forward to.

Quite, Ena. Since my mother died in 1987 I have had no reason to buy Xmas presents for anyone. Doesn't really bother me, but sometimes my thoughts just linger.

You're right ttfn. I love Christmas and make it lots of fun......not necessarily expensive...but how do we get together this year without our beautiful son-in-law? Such a huge empty space. x

Believe me when I say that I don't have a 'Bah Humbug' approach to Christmas. I just feel that so many lose the true meaning of Christmas.

I enjoyed it when the daughter was small....I really enjoyed buying for her,and the anticipation of the day.
But since I am on my own-and she has grown up and we have both become quite ambivalent about the holiday-it's no longer fun. It has been a chore the past few years. But this year we've agreed to spend very little,which takes a lot of the pressure off-and it will just be a day to be lazy-and eat and drink together. That's good enough.

Headers, my friend :) Never wish your life to fly by - that would upset those we loved the most. Better to take each day as a challenge and cope the best we can. For along the way, you will surely make a difference in someone's life ♥
