... but please, don't be 'smug' about Christmas.

There are many who have neither the reason nor the wherewithal to buy presents for loved ones, family or friends.

I believe that Christmas should be a special time to be with the people closest to you or, at least, in spirit.

Have a heart and think of others who may be less fortunate than yourself ♥

This year I feel very lucky, with a new grandchild due early new year I've decided that I am turning the small storage cupboard under the stairs into a tiny play and snooze space for my granddaughter for when she visits after baby arrives. I'm going to ask them round christmas eve as a surprise, i intend gutting the space, painting the walls pink, and then my daughter is painting a mural on one wall of a farm yard scene with lots of animals. i'm buying her a tiny pink toddler me-to-you bed and putting pink voile drapes over the top of it, the space is decent enough, 5ft wide by 6ft 8inches long, it's going to take some time and effort and i am working alot but she'll be amazed by it, (she's nearly 14months now). She's going to be inundated with toys and clothes at christmas and i just felt this was something my mum and dad would have thought to do. can't wait to see her face. Can't wrap it up for her but that won;t matter.

I know it sounds ambitious considering work and money etc but it will be something that will actually be very useful, in a year or so there will be two little ones to accomodate and I can then get tiny toddler bunks! can't wait for that! Oh and the other wall we are putting mirror tile on low to the floor because Anya loves looking at herself in the mirror she's so funny. it will be like a nanny's panic room lol

actually headwreck mamya and ttfn you're all now my back up team and you have to keep on at me about it to make sure i get it done, i'm prone to going out buying tins of paint and new paint brushes and letting them sit in the shed, i need to get it underway this sunday and take some stuff to the tip, small steps will get me to the point i can get the opainting started!

If its anything like last year we will need extra tissues as we were suddenly overwhelmed by the enormity of having another person to share the season with.... and with a special year to look forward to as well.... Won't be buying many presents but will be spending time just enjoying some cosy closeness and appreciating how lucky we are
