The sun seem to think that come November it's time they post that the biggest snow storm will hit the UK next week.

Seems just a yellow warning is enough for them to bring Canada into discussion?

The Met Office will often bring the origins and direction of cold fronts arriving in the UK be it Scandinavia or N. America. No surprise there.
Why hysterical? Heavy snow is more than likely at this time of year,especially in Northern Hilly areas.It causes major disruption and deaths hence the warnings.
