sat in your car at traffic lights and watch some parents with their kids crossing the road, the pram goes out in the road first and then they make a run for the other side regardless of traffic lights nearby, also pick up toddler and run between cars,i would never take my kids life in my hands like that,i get angry when i watch some of them.

Yep - it never ceases to amaze me how some people here haven't worked out the sequence of a traffic lights at a busy t-junction here, and just go anyway.
My foot isn't far off the brake when I spot pedestrians trying to cross the road.
That's ridiculous, hc - well spotted - how could the kid be encouraging the mother to do it, at that age? stupid selfish woman.

what gets me is the child gets pushed into the road first.
We had a heart-stopping moment this afternoon near Leicester, extremely busy main road near to a roundabout, two young teenagers obviously just out of school decided to make a dash for it, one decided against crossing at the last minute and stayed on kerb, the other ran out, panicked, stopped dead in middle of the road, whole line of cars managed to brake and she just froze! We finally drove past her, stranded in the middle with no traffic refuge to stand on, so no idea how she got back or to the other side. The silly thing was, there was a pedestrian crossing a few yards further down.
Yep. Must be out of their minds to risk it.
Someone pushing a wheelchair did it to me yesterday. I was turning right on a green light and they should have been waiting on the path but decided to walk out in front of my car instead. then had the cheek to absolutely glare at me like I had run the light. I stopped of course and thought they would carry on walking but the man pushing after the intial glare then obviously realised he was in the wrong and looked at the red man and backed away!
happens all the time with prams....the other thing is kids walking away from traffic suddenly hop onto road to avoid oncoming pedestrian...never mind the car creeping up from behind ....grrrr...
