The Club is now Open

Welcome again to all our members old and older.
It is not quite so cold this week, but I am sure we will still all feel the benefit.
Hopefully our staff will not desert us as they did last week with excuses about 'half-term' and 'circumstances beyond my control'...you know who you are and we know what you were up to...lady butcher indeed.....I have it on good authority that that shop was open for business all last weekend and the butcher lady was serving her customers tripe as usual...

Tonight's raffle prizes so far are:

Two porky pies
Small pack of green face powder (covers blushes)
and two used bus tickets to Scarborough (it's so bracing)

Hello Kate. Sorry to hear you are tired.
Thank you for teh raffle prizes. I don't know where the staff have disappeared to tonight...probably getting their ducks in a row....
Good evening Milady, sorry to be late - bedtime story duty for the two youngest, so grabbing a minute for myself.

I have some lovely Cornish pasties and home made onion marmalade. This week's guest tailcock is the Jumping Jupiter.

For the Rofl

A brass Pisky
Teatowel depicting Brown Willy
Stick of Torquay rock.

Good evening Mamyalynne. Nice to have you back....at last...

A Jumping Jupiter would be just the job, please.
Good evening Three! I must proffer my apologies for absence the last two weeks - the first I was away visiting my aged (95yrs young) mum and last week was at a magnificent concert.
For the raffl I offer:

a very sore knee(fell over last Monday!)
a bunch of early daffodils from my garden
Good evening fellow mambers, I do hope you are more fortunate with the raffle this week My Lady. I have brought
A biscuit barrel
A ball of string
and a roll of sellotape(cant find the end)
Question Author
Welcome JUmbo and Alexanderd and thank you so much for your raffle contributions.

I do hope I am more fortunate this week, alexanderd as I would really like the daffs and the sellotape.

Have you noticed that Mamyalynne is being very reticent about her absence last week ?
Evening milady, evening Kate. I bring for the rifle a packet of toffee dodgers, like the jammy ones but toffee flavoured. (Only ate two, honest.) A Copy of Flaubert's Parrot. Don't worry, I have another. A twelve inch wooden ruler. Why people want to use metric stuff defeats me.
Any alcohol on the go? Or shall I raid the liquor cabinet? Often fancied being creative with curacao.
Do we smell a rat (or something similar)?!
Shall I hide my own coat this evening?
Matron is very quiet tonight isnt she? Guilty conscience perhaps? and wher is the butler?
Question Author
Welcome, Daisy and thank you .

Have you seen a rat, Jumbo ?
Perhaps we should invest in a cat .....or just some traps....
Question Author
I have no idea where the butler is, so I think we'd better all hide our own.

It's all getting curiouser and curiouser..
Good evening, m'lady. I can assure you that I did indeed have no control over my absence. In fact I am not even able to use my own PC, so am doubtful for tonight's festivities...

Whilst here, I shall of course pass the tailcocks round

I can add to the rofl with

A book - "101 Things To Do With Offal"
Some pictures of offal
A one-way ticket to Offaly
my concentration has gone to pot i think a jumping juniper would help and a sit by the aga with some of mamyas nibbles,HELLO MAMY'
Question Author
Good evening , Maj.

I'm sorry to hear about your PC.....probably.....
Hello, Li K: here is my coat for squirrelling away; I would love a Jumping Juniper tonight please.
Did anyone else see the wonderful sighting of the Space Station at 7.30pm?
Milady I did indeed pop by ;ast week to explain my absence, you may have retired for the night. Things will soon return to normal once the littlies are back at school.

Good evening everyone.
Matron, Mr Buttle, we must be on our guard tonight, LadyA did not win the raffle last week.
Question Author
If you say so, Mamya, if you say so....

Moving swiftly on...I couldn't see the space station here because the sky is overcast (and it is drizzling)
