Lavender Oil

Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin' s of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Morning all, morning jno, wonder where you are now!!
Very very windy out today, washing line is spinning round and round, I love to see it!
Hija is still out enjoying herself hopefully, I have managed to remove most of her spilled makeup from the carpet, it's not very noticeable, and I'll have anopther bash at it tomorrow.
Am halfway through Les Mis the film, oh that Hugh Jackman is lovely, I think it is him!
How are you all today, hopefully Lottie is skipping about full of the joys! and the rest of you are feeling chipper.

Morning all...ooh, it's chilly but I've been warmed up nicely by that video woofy. Nice idea for a serious subject. Oddly enough I was reading an article only yesterday which said women who have lumpectomies are more likely to survive than those who have mastectomies...there are a lot of articles on it at the moment. I like to keep up with breast cancer news, there's been quite a lot in our family.
Are you there yet jno?
Have a good time next week Jude!

Any antidepressant takes a while to kick in ....I keep reading about amitriptyline for fibro but it's an anti-d (albeit in a low dose) and living alone I'm reluctant to try it because of side effects. As for t'other end Lottie i've found sitting with your feet up helps...and a splash of cold water! oooh!
Robi, I have been taking cipramil which is an antidepressant/anti anxiety for about 20 years or. The doc thinks I need antidepressants for life, so has changed me over to another to see if it helps more. Apparently, my brain ain't working probably because of an overload of something or another. Well, something like that. I have always suffered from acute anxiety and patches of depression, even when a kid. You are right, they need time to kick in, but I seriously couldn't wake up this morning.
Now off to sit in a bucket of cold water. Those creams for heaps don't work very well!!
At least my appetite has bucked up in the last few days.

Try witchhazel for the heaps Lofty .Pleased to hear you feel a bit better and hopefully once the meds kick in you'll feel more so .Now that your oddball neighbour has buggered off that may also make a difference .
It's a grey day here and I still feel out of sorts but will KBO .
Congrats on a grandson Robinia .Now you'll know which side to put the buttons :)
Hope everyone else is Ok and that Jno has landed safely .

Poor lottie, heaps are awful, I usually poke them back up but the internal itching drives you crazy. I suffer occasionally.
Just been to lunch, only a small local place, I had prawn salad with was just prawns and lettuce but delicious with oil and vinegar, then I had roasted shouylder of lamb, mr N had leg of lamb, with mixed vef and a jacker pot which I love, the lamb is sort of roasted in a juice so also delicious, then had blackcurrant cheese cake, not that I like it much but not a lot of choice, we shared a bottle of red wine with lemonade. Hija was home in bed when we got back, so I am happy!

Woofy, I would love you next door to me.
I have put on a bit of HC45 cream after looking it up. And it has stopped the itching. Not sure whether it is heaps proper, it may just be sore and itchy from too much traffic!!
I am over in Civil Law. I wish people would not presume to know stuff they don't know in the serious subjects!!

Just finished watching Les Mis, really good film although I cannot stand Russell Crowe in anything. And I did not cry, I must be the only one. I absolutley adore Hugh Jackman now, just you wait til I see him somewhere, oooh!! Music wasn't very catchy and all very drear, but I suppose it would have to be.
