Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Morning all...very cold here, 1C and they've had lots more snow in N. Derbyshire. :(

I managed to stay awake and watched the Richard III documentary on channel 4...the weather was too noisy to sleep anyway. It was so interesting, well, apart from the overly dramatic Philippa, oh lordy. Best quote I've found this morning 'The Philippa Langley In The Carpark' show last night, would have been better if it'd included Richard III...' haha. I know she's put a lot into into it but she was embarrassing, especially for those who had to keep stopping for her I thought. Anyway, tyrant or not, I'd like to think not, he was so young. They were hard and brutal times.

Neti, hurry up home and rest.
Rest? I've forgotten all about that.
Hi Biddyfriends. Lovely sunny day down here but I think it's going to be cold when we go for a walk. My friend is walking well on crutches. So he's improving slowly.
Your trip sounds good lottie but I wouldn't like to go on a big ship cruise .
So a sail up a river would suit me best.
You should be resting Neti. I thought I was the dash about but I think you're worse than me. Take care.
Off now so I'll see yer later 'gaters.
Oh jude, I would love to be you, you are always here and there, I am only dashing about doing boring things like paying off hija's phone bill, credit card bill, where will it end?? She has now comandeered my unlocked English android phone as hers (my other one!!) can't receive calls, I've bought her brekkie and coffee at a pavement cafe, and am potless now. We do all this on my pension and do not tell Mr N!!! It is just more peaceful that way!!

I've put this in CB but think it is great, I love wacky things!
Afternoon all
Very cold here too but bright and sunny .No snow but they say we may get some .Hope all biddies are well.
I recorded the programme about King Richard to watch later as I watched Lewis .
I think it's going to be sad next week when they go their different ways .
Nothing doing here otherwise .Same old .
Take care all.
Hello, very cold here with a howling noisy night. dogs are (you guessed it) asleep.
I had a wonderful finale end to the day yesterday. I was running the washing machine with muddy stuff in it. It beeped to say finished and i wandered out and opened the door and got deluged with water. Happily a pile of muddy towels was in front of the machine waiting their turn so they caught most of the water.
I closed it quick, happily the drain and spin functions still worked so could empty the machine and get the stuff out. I pulled it out to let it dry and (of course) the gap it fits in is filthy....anyway its now dry so next job is to clean out the gap, put the machine away and make sure it still works.....

brilliant neti, that's on it's way to my sister...
I watched Lewis first shaney & the documentary on ch4+1...yes, it's going to be a sad one next week.

oh no woofy...my washer's only ever flooded the kitchen once touches wood and that was because the outlet had frozen up outside. I couldn't move it, I occasionally wrap a cloth round a stick to clean under it but what the eye doesn't see....

Snowing!
Love it Robi, that has gone straight onto my FB page.

Oh I am the master of flooding washing machines, mine always malfunction, new, old whatever, even this new one sometimes doesn't spin, sometimes won't open. so glad it is outside in a separate room, cos when I force the door, it pours out into the garden!!
I forgot about Lewis, still haven't seen the last two yet, so I typed in lewid in my downloader, and guess what popped up, yes lewd things, must go to specsavers next time and no; not to see them better but to type better.

hahaha, I've just spluttered actimel all over my keyboard now neti!
That will probably do your keyboard good Robi!
Question Author
it's ok neti, ...it came from the school of hard knocks, it was tarquin's and it survived him spilling sweet coffee all over it.
Well old things need Actimel don't they (I, of course do not need it as yet!)
