Toaster

Can anyone recommend a good toaster?
I've had a succession of cheap, supermarket own brand toasters which cremate bread with alarming ease.
I'd be willing to pay a decent amount of money if I could find one that just toasts my bread evenly and consistantly!
Any suggestions?

I have one that takes a fortnight to toast bread, by which time it just crumbles to ashes..... I' ll go and check what make it is. Please don't get one of those.

Russell Hobbs. Think it's called the Colours range - mine's a metallic red (as is my kettle, pots, pans bread bin, etc.). Only does small slices, but turn it around and do the other end and it's as good as I've ever found. A bit slow on reg. 5, but doesn't dry the toast too much so it's not brittle. Anybody know a toaster that does a large slice in one go I'd be pleased to hear.
