I always think that if their goods are so cheap, what are the people (mainly women) that make them paid? Refuse to shop there. Mind you, shopping ethically is becoming more and more difficult these days.

I like Primark`s sleepwear which is quite good quality and good value. Mind you, anything is good value to us in the West when it is make in a factory in Dhaka where the workers are earning 50p per day.
I think our Primark must be one of the smaller ones. We have a new TKMaxx but I can't stand the randomness. I have zero interest in shopping so I prefer to get everything online - it also means that I get everything I want on one go, I tend to buy the kids clothes in one go.
I quite like it. I got some lovely pyjamas there and MrAsk got some white vests cheap but ok. My Granddaughter used to be in there quite a lot in her early teens but now it's me that goes in occasionally, and she rarely goes in.

The store today was a bit like a jumble sale, mismatched shoes all over the place but that's mainly the shoppers fault no respect don't agree that TKMax is tacky some good quality bargains there and a bit tidier!
I'm not good at shopping at the best of times and find myself completely unable to cope in Primark! Its a huge jumble sale of poor quality stretchy clothes and long queues at the till. Having said that I do have a cosy night shirt which came from there but was bought for me.
I love Primark, I can get all my work clothes in there quite cheaply which leaves me able to spend more on clothes I want to wear. I also love their vest tops and T Shirts, every colour under the sun. I just wish the PJ bottoms were a bit longer.
I don't buy much in primark...mostly because I just don't see anything I like. The one thing I do buy regularly is their seam free camis and knickers. Lovely soft fabric, and they really last.
Primark uses slave labour in India

horrible cheap rags made by child labour.

totally refuse to shop there
Hope to pop into Primark tomorrow. need a couple of things and i bet i find them. Not a bad quality at all really. Can get some pretty cheapish bargains.
Good if you have kids,so easy to rig them out for school clothes.
I'd rather shop on eBay,and get good brands for very little.
That was 2 years ago Retro, they now buy ethically sourced goods.

Primark.....my favourite place. I soon get fed up with clothes so if after a few months I don't wear them it's not a waste. As for quality, no problem. Think designer named stuff is an absolute rip off, had some branded stuff that washed like rags and cost an arm and a leg. Never had any problem with washing primark stuff.
I'd rather go to TK Max where I can get designer wear for a fraction of the price. You have to be in the mood though for a rummage. Last time I was there I got some designer trousers with a £225 price tag for £35 . I do like Country Casuals clothingline from house of fraser though, but I don't buy a lot of clothes I prefer to pay more and get things that last -I'm not a fashion slave .
Yes I did - when I was lovely thin and lithe I could always buy more outfits for dances - so nobody even seen me twice in the same thing at the dances. Of course - I was danced off the floor
^^^^ don't what happened there

but was danced off the floor by all the men who were all foaming at the mouth at this beauty from Primark.
I rest my case Retrochic. Designer trousers worth £225, never! Only really worth the 35 quid you paid for them.
netty -my designer £35 trousers were not made by slave labour and will last about 10 times longer than £10 trousers bought form tat shops. I agree I would never pay elevated designer prices that's why I go to TK max sometimes.
Its ok for vest tops or things I might wear a couple of times
But I've just spent £58 on kiddies stuff in Marks sale - a huge bag including a girls coat reduced from £36 - £9 - I know its going to last too

I think Primark should add an optional penny to every item and use this for education projects - I would not mind paying an extra penny an item and it would soon add up
I will never set foot in the place! I have never seen such junk in my life, most of which is strewn around the floor. Dreadful!!
I mainly buy kids clothing in Primark and have often walked out of there with more than 10 items for around £30 - 35.

I went into a TK Maxx once and never again. Hated it. All the clothes on rails were tightly packed and as Sherrard says just random items with no choice of sizes. I'm not into designer gear anyway.

I tend to buy my clothes from F&F, George or Next.
