Prime Cheek From Amazon

.....craftily inserting me into an Amazon Prime 'trial' that I hadn't asked for.
And not giving me the facility to unsubscribe to it on my account.

Should this occur, here's what to do:
Log into your amazon account
then google 'contact amazon uk' and you'll get a list of returns, one of which has a url like his one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/contact-us/general-questions.html

Then work through the questions to the 'call me back' bit. Get them to call you back straight away and play merry hell with them. Insist the trial is removed immediately and moan on about how wrong it is that this facility was not available on your account.

Sadly the earth is now inherited by the r-sey, which means me.

I don't think the £20 limit is a rip off. The 'free' postage is hidden in the purchase cost of the item or it is losing Amazon money which they recoup on other items.
I can always find something useful for a pound or two to put my shopping total over the £20 and still it works out cheaper than buying elsewhere, usually.

I think Amazon is great. Their customer service is really good as well. I contact them on their online live chat.

The problem with Amazon and free postage is to get it you have to buy goods to the value of £20 but sold by Amazon. Recently I bought an Item for £15, direct from Amazon and although the other item I bought took the value well over the £20, because it came from a different supplier I still didn't get free postage.

It doesn't take long to see if you can buy the item either online or in the high street cheaper than Amazon after adding postage costs.

Amazon do make it very clear before you place your order if the item(s) count towards the free postage.

I bought something off Amazon for £5.10 less than two weeks ago, free postage it arrived the next day.
