Prime Cheek From Amazon
28 Answers
.....craftily inserting me into an Amazon Prime 'trial' that I hadn't asked for.
And not giving me the facility to unsubscribe to it on my account.
Should this occur, here's what to do:
Log into your amazon account
then google 'contact amazon uk' and you'll get a list of returns, one of which has a url like his one:
https:/ /www.am azon.co .uk/gp/ help/co ntact-u s/gener al-ques tions.h tml
Then work through the questions to the 'call me back' bit. Get them to call you back straight away and play merry hell with them. Insist the trial is removed immediately and moan on about how wrong it is that this facility was not available on your account.
Sadly the earth is now inherited by the r-sey, which means me.

They probably did ask you, you just did not notice.
Rather sneakily when you buy something they have an option which asks you if you want to take a trial of Prime, but it is set ON as a default.
If you don't turn it off then you get the trial.
Which is why we should all read what is on the screen before just clicking OK.

Thanks VHG - I can recall the point at which this happened, which was thusly:
Purchase came with free super saver delivery, choose this at checkout (OK)
Next screen has stuff about selecting Prime, with button bottom right saying 'no thanks, proceed to my....'
Which being daft I assumed meant checkout - whereas it enrolled me for Prime.
