Locally gaps in things like rice and pasta and some cleaning supplies. Homebargains looked like they were closing down but their business model would make them vulnerable in the current situation. Very little short date stuff available it's selling through the big 4.
I called into Sainsburys last week (first time in 18 months) to buy some herbs/spices/kimchi etc that I can't get in Aldi and was shocked. Huge parts of Isles were empty, or the products stretched out to make the isles look fuller. The gluten free section was nearly all sold out too. Next day I went you our usual Aldi for the weekly shop and the shelves were heaving -no shortages there.
