if you live outside a major city, dont bother, the reception is non existant
why dont you have a look at t-mobiles new flext rates they are terrific
agree with NORMANTHEDOG, T-mobile are very good. I was with them last year and stupidly changed to Orange. I never had a problem with getting a signal, billing or anything else on T-mobile. Not P.A.Y.G though,on contract. I personally would never chose 3.
Consider the Fresh tariff from Carphone Warehouse for landline and cross-network call charges. I believe the actual network operator is T-Mobile.
I was with 3 on PAYG briefly then got a contract phone with them, none of the staff on the phones know what they are doing, the service is s**t,the reception is s**t,and the phones had to be replaced 3 times for faults,so NO wouldn't go there,i'm now with o2 and problemLESS,3 can go sing!!!!!

Agree with others. Avoid 3 network at all costs. Completly rubbish.

I have just gone with O2 on pay as you go after being with Orange on a contract. Both were fine but O2 have given me about 8.00 worth of free credit for doing nothing so they are my winner.

i have just changed from orange to o2, what a mistake, we have only been on 2 months and they have made some serious mistakes and i am in the process of terminating my contract, orange were excellent!
