I'm probably being a really dumb biddy but I don't do much on-line shopping!
Next are offering free delivery but where do you put the code? As you 'add to bag' it makes out your order but I don't see a space for special codes and the total adds on the delivery charge.
Hope this makes sense, I'm losing the plot today. Thanks.

They reckon that during the next 24 hours in will get worse in Brisbane and surrounding area. Where abouts is Dolly?

I must admit I do think of Australia as a place that really isn't geographically, biologically or climatically fit for Western type living. I enjoyed my stay over there, but I never felt compelled to stay. It still has quite a primitive feel to it in many respects. We should have left it to the natives who can cope with it.
Same could be said of this little island!
Not q
Not quite the same Neti. Not so many dangerous beasties for a start and far more civilised in my opinion. I am definitely a western european!!

Off now to visit my sickly son and take him some cake!!
oooer what happened!!
Biddies, I have taken the liberty of sending Dolly all our love and best wishes, it must be awful for her!
Afternoon biddies, I'm having a day off as there's only some token hammering going on in the distant today, and that I can live with. Been dozing in my chair on and off all day, I'm always tired cos I never get enough sleep while this is going on. Spoke to my last surviving aunt this morning, they were eight including my mother and now this aunt is the only one left - can you imagine what that must feel like. I could barely hear what she was saying, she's developed some kind of dysarthria since last I spoke to her. Damn you to hell, Old Age.

The brown handbag for me please Neti! Except I want it to go across and that one won't... hm... it's VERY nice though.

That place looks really nice, Lottie. In the film The Queen with Helen Mirren when the Duke of Edinburgh shot the stag and the Queen was out driving alone, where was that again? That landscape was breathtaking. Although probably only as scenery - in real life I need the coast.

Is your son and his family affected by the floods Robi...?

Jude, you shouldn't have... it's too much... http://i56.tinypic.com/9kmcub.png (ha ha only kidding - he hasn't actually arrived yet)
Hi All Hope you're having a good day. I'm not a 'change the handbag' with everything I wear type. Just use the same one til it wears out. Aren't I a scruff.
They're all lovely bags though that you have put on here. I have a little pink one that I used for my son's wedding but have only used it twice as I've only worn the dress twice.

Kit it's nothing much at all so don't get excited.. I love the Depp Pic that's been saved to my file called Hunks.

Been to The Marina for a carvery today . Loverrrry turkey, beef, or pork and all the trimmings. If we go 10 times and get a card stamped we then get a free one.

Scores on the doors Shaney was a magnificent 3 :-o)
Off to make a cuppa tea now Later 'gater(s)!
Jude...! A Hunks file! Well I never...!
I emailed Dolly a couple of days ago when I saw the Toowoomba flash floods - she said she thought she'd be okay but was having to make detours to get to the shops as there were rising creeks nearby. I hope she's got her water wings around, all the same.
Oh dear ,poor Dolly .I do hope she'll be OK .Send her my best Neti .Must be awful for them .
None of my Australian rellies live in that area thank goodness .I hope she will be alright .

Raining and miserable here at Shaneytowers but mustn't moan when you see those floods .
That's a very snygg bag indeed Kit .I love the word Snygg .It's my new word for today .

Neti ,I use a metal or enamel plate or pie dish ,glass doesn't conduct the heat so well for pastry . Metal gives a crisp bottom :) And yes MrS is doing well thank you .He doesn't go out much only to barber or hospital appts as walking about with the catheter is uncomfy .But he's putting on weight which is the main thing .

I've just made a pie ,sausage ,egg and bacon and some scones .Very Snyggy of me :)
Can you not get Trex in Spain Neti .I can't get on with that ready made pastry ,it's like trying to roll out a sheet of rubber .
PS Scores on my doors were hopeless too Jude . Only 12 .The Q's were hard but it's getting towards the finals so I suppose they get tougher .What amuses me is though they can work out complicated mathematical Q's but fall down on the really easy questions. There was one last night where they all sat there looking blank and I was shouting at the screen :)

Oh poor Dolly...and all the people affected by floods...nature can very frightening. Send her my best wishes too neti & tell her we're all thinking of her.
My son's about as far away from Dolly as it's possible to be I think. I haven't heard from him since New Yrs day but their weather looks to be hot & sunny and any weather/flood warnings are for much further north on the western side.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere with extreme weather, hot or cold, and jno once told me of an ideal place but I've forgotten where that was...probably some deserted island, haha.

Well pastry used to be my thing but that was back in't ode days when we used half lard/marg. I'd agree with shaney on the metal plate...make sure the pastry's very cold...you could try brushing the bottom with beaten egg to seal it before putting on the filling...some people swear by baking blind for 10 mins too but I've never really bothered with that. In fact I just don't bother baking any more. :o)

The score on my door is 2258...
....or that might be my mum's divi number...
Thanks shaney, no trex here and normal packet of lard is considered a luxury and costs a fortune! I do use metal dishes but what reglo should the mini leccy oven be, I usually use it at 220 or 224 but the top cooks and almost goes black and the bottom is soggy and raw! Should I try a lower heat for longer. the pie filling is always well cooked first!

Our fine dining experience as great, she did cous cous sald with veg and fruit, and dates stuffed wih goats cheese (now where did she get that idea from, I wonder) but very nice and she used spring roll wrappers instead of filo, then an amuse bouche which was like cucumber and lemon sorbet, then chicken breast stuffed with miozarella with a wine /onion type sauce, with beautiful fried pots, and then I had Key lime pie and Mr N had a mint/breadcrumby evaporated milk flan type thing, all very very nice and I was surprised. she's washed up (Ok so I had to clean the kitchen afterwards, but that's cos I'm fussy, and there was Amuse bouche all over the tiles!) Am stuffed so off to bed after a bath and then to watch dvds. I could get used to not cooking!!!
*cous cous salad*
Nite nite. I am tired and going to bed!

xx
I got a sticky, I got a sticky! How totally snyggy of me! (lol Shaney:) It's in Animals & Nature. Ha ha Spare really liked that owl!
Lol kit, he is cute... No doubt about it. I just sometimes have a problem with the oriental sense of humour.....
