Does anybody collect stamps anymore.?
Like a lot of people of my age I have a large collection of stamps, mostly over 50 years old.
Not worth a fortune I imagine but must have some value. How does one get a valuation?

Yes, many people do. OH is one of them. His mother was also a collector, so I think it runs in the blood. There will be a local philatelic society somewhere near you and they would help. Otherwise you can buy catalogues and D.I.Y.. Through OH, I've discovered a bit of an interest myself, but I've not got the collecting gene. It can be a great hobby - he bought two stamps last week whichre worth several hundreds, for c.£20. The history they show is fascinating.
Found out that I worked with some philatelist and got them to sort a valuation of my mums/grandfathers collection....ask around.
I'm the same I have stamps that I have been collecting since I was 9 0r 10 , I'm 67 now , still got the stamps.
EDDIE & Mally - some of your stamps may fill gaps.
