8 of us are staying in two s/c cottages in Cornwall in a few weeks. We thought we'd all eat together in the evenings, and suggested that the 4 wives would each take a meal. any sugestions please? The meal would be frozen beforehand and put in freezer there until needed.

A casserole, or stew? I'm assuming it'll be raining (sorry!) so that'd be nice with some fresh, crusty bread.
Curry, chilli con carne, casserole, shepherd's pie
Fish Pie or Chilli con carne
Whoops, sorry hc! Your answer wasnt there when I started! lol
Spaghetti bolognese
On day 1 it wouldn't be too difficult to do some sort of roast, with veggies prepared at home. Perhaps a large joint of pork or a couple of chickens
And there is no reason why you can't have a barbeque in late autumn, if it's dry.
So what meal are the 4 husbands taking?
Why not make a very large Lasagne - we always take one for the first couple of days caravanning..........saves a lot of work - serve it with a salad.

Thanks all!! Yes, we thought we'd barbeque one evening! Hopefully it won't rain all week. The men are golfing. Need I say more!!
Phwaw - when six of us go on holiday, we all take it in turns - at least one night, the men cook - some holiday for the wives if they end up in the kitchen every night!
Chilli - frozen in advance ... and you can cheat by serving it with microwave rice, which is quite good quality these days, just add nachos, guacamole, sour cream and you're there. But why freeze in advance ..... couple of large chickens will cook in the same time it takes ot reheat a giant chilli ...... so try that with new pots and salad ..... or jackets if you need a bigger meal.
A slow cooker if any of you have one would be ideal to take with you grange! Ready for you all when you get back from wherever you've been in the day!http://www.channel4.com/4food/recipes/pop
