When Are Public Libaries Open?

Libraries can reopen from April 12 (unless Stage 2 of the Roadmap gets pushed back). Some are already operating 'choose and collect' services.

Sheffield Libraries, where I believe you're based Cleoval, have been operating their Order & Collect service since August. Unfortunately though, they've not updated the information on their web page since the beginning of this month:

It's up to each council. Last time when neighbouring county libraries libraries were closed ... i think it was a 3 week period at the end of 2020....derbyshire remained open...they have remained open for choose and collect....which has been excellent. You can reserve any books and there are no charges...you can also keep them out for an age.....they automatically renew. Have been very pleased with the service.

Really depends on where you live. Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England are all different methinks. Think here in Scotland it is end April for order/collect.

My local library has been open for much of the last year without the usual facilities...but it's excellent for ordering new, just published books. Many that we've had have never been out-for-loan before.
