For a 3 day break in December? Opinions please, which has the best festive market? Which has the easiest transfer by train from the airport?

It's the biggest christmas market in Europe, and the train from the airport drives straigth to the main station, which is walking distance from the market.
Also you could see the market in Esslingen, too, which is my all-time ever favourite.
It's a lot smaller, but half of it is a medieval market.

We usually fly to Frankfurt/Manchester and stay in Rudesheim From there you can easily get to Frankfurt or even Cologne.Rudesheim itself is a beautiful village wit a large market. Ther's a train station in the airport and ticket office with Direct trains to Frankfurt itself if you prefer. Lot's of shopping and a massive market. This site is pretty useful.
