How far do you go back?

Just had a reply come through to a question I posted in January -made me wonder how far back do you go when logging on to AB - I usually go back a couple of days but no further unless there is an interesting thread that I want to keep up with!

I only go back 2 or 3 pages as I assume people wont want a reply to a thread that ended a week ago. Unless there are no answers then I might reply.

I rarely go back more than a day. I might go back a couple of days to read some replies, but never to post another answer.

I go on the AB several times a day, so I only need to trawl back if I've missed any days for any reason. I alway subscribe to a thread I've answered.

Hey lankeela, when I read your question title I thought you were going to ask us about our noble lineage. You know, the Thackeray thing: It takes three generations to make a gentleman.

When I joined the AB I created a new yahoo-account for the purpose, and trusted that I'd be notified of all replies by e-mail. Turns out I hardly ever open that mail box, but when I do it seems to me there aren't nearly as many messages as there should be, so I don't think that facility can be trusted - anyone else experienced this? However, thanks to these e-mail-alerts I did once discover a reply that arrived months after I asked my question...!

Maybe someone came across your question by accident when using the 'Search the site' facility. That sometimes throws up really old ones.

Normally come on here every day, so generally just go back to the last question I saw last time I was on and look at all the ones that have been posted since.

when i first joined i was going through posts from ages ago before i realised and got to the newest posts

so perhaps it just a new user who doesn't realise.
